A music lover since his early days, and trained as a pianist, it is not until the age of 27 that the Belgian singer Patrick Bolleire, who was an engineer at that time, met his singing teacher Lubov Tomasson-Stuchevskaya. He quickly decides to dedicate himself to a soloist singer career and adds theatrical training to his vocal education.

Before joining the Opéra Studio at the Opéra national du Rhin, Patrick Bolleire was awarded the Second Opera prize at the International Canari Lyrical Song Competition whose chairman was Gabriel Bacquier and the Second Opera Prize at the Concours International de Marmande.

After his debut on the Opéra du Rhin stage, he is hired by numerous European theatres: Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Vlaamse Opera, Opéra Royal de Wallonie, La Monnaie in Brussels… In France, besides his engagement for Salome at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, he is a regular guest of operas in Avignon, Montpellier, Marseille, Nancy, Toulon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, and of orchestras in Strasbourg,.

From November 2010 to October 2011, he appears as Sarastro in Une flûte enchantée (Molière Award 2011 as best Musical Theater show), stage direction by Peter Brook on tour in Europe and all over the world. He appears notably in Lyon, Luxembourg, Milan, London, Porto, Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Québec, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Mexico City…

During the last seasons, he was Melchtal (Guillaume Tell), Lorenzo (I Capuleti e I Montecchi), Le vieil hébreux (Samson et Dalila), Brander (La Damnation de Faust), Calchas (Iphigénie en Aulide), Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni) or Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro). Besides Une Flûte enchantée, he is part of productions such as Il Viaggio a Reims on tour in France,Hamlet in Marseille, Cendrillon in Brussels, Les Huguenots and Der Ferne Klang by Franz Schreker in Strasbourg.

He sings under the batons of conductors such as Marc Albrecht, Alain Altinoglu, Daniele Callegari, Jesus Lopez Cobos, Mikko Franck, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Louis Langrée, Marko Letonja, Kenneth Montgomery, Paolo Olmi, Evelino Pidò, Daniele Rustioni, Alberto Zedda and in productions directed by Vincent Boussard, Stéphane Braunschweig, Peter Brook, Robert Carsen, Jean-Louis Grinda, Klaus Michael Grüber, Christophe Honoré, Ivo van Hove, Laurent Pelly, Denis Podalydès, Olivier Py or Jean-Paul Scarpitta.

In concert, he sang Lalo’s La Jacquerie at the Festival de Radio France, Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Mulhouse, Verdi's Messa da Requiem with the Orchestre national de Lorraine, L’Enfance du Christ in Aarhus, Malmö and Warsaw, Berlioz’ Roméo et Juliette with the Orchestre national du Capitole in Toulouse, Olympie by Spontini at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and in Amsterdam, L’Enfant et les Sortilèges with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Ermione in Lyon and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Tancredi in Marseille, Les Pêcheurs de perles at the Philharmonie de Paris and in Marseille and César Franck’s Les Béatitudes with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège.

Among recent and future projects:  Guillaume Tell and L'Heure espagnole & L'Enfant et les sortilèges at the Opéra Royal de Walloni-Liège, Norma and Il Trovatore in Marseille, Hamlet in Massy and L’Elisir d’amore in Nancy.
