Hélène Carpentier

First Prize and Prize for the best interpretation of the French repertoire at the Voix Nouvelles Competition in Paris, she was awarded Révélation Classique 2018 by ADAMI. Winner of several competitions in 2017, including the First Prize « Femme Opéra », the Second Prize « Mélodie Française », the Prize « Jeune Espoir », the « Audience Award » and the « Special Jury » Prize at the Marmande International Competition. She was also finalist in 2019 at the International Neue Stimmen Competition in Gütersloh (Germany).

After studies in piano and flute, she discovered singing in Amiens, her hometown, with Marie-Dominique Loyer, her professor and coach since then. Admitted in 2015 to the Choir of the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris, and, the following year, to the entrance examination of the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris, she performs in various productions under the direction of conductors such as as Laurence Equilbey, Paul Agnew or David Reiland.

In the first seasons, she has sung the parts of Albina in La Donna del lago at the Opéra de Marseille, Micaëla (Carmen) at the Opéra de Rouen and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Madeleine in Le Postillon de Lonjumeau in Rouen, Despina in Così fan tutte in Nice, Sandmännchen / Taumädchen in Hänsel et Gretel at the Opéra du Rhin, Mélisande in Ariane et Barbe-bleue by Dukas at the Opéra de Lyon.

Recently, she interpreted Electre in Idoménée by Campra at the Opéra de Lille and at the Staatsoper Berlin, the title part of Iphigénie en Tauride at the Opéra de Rouen, Inès in L’Africaine by Meyerbeer and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro in Marseille, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Opéra national du Rhin, the title part of Cendrillon at the Opéra de Limoges, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette by Gounod at the Opéra de Québec, Sophie in Werther at the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Eurydice in Orphée et Eurydice by Gluck in Toulon…

In concert, she has been invited by Insula Orchestra in Mozart's Requiem (Aix-en-Provence, Seine musicale…) but also for a Mendelssohn concert tour (Metz, Monte-Carlo, Philharmonie de Paris) and for Fidelio (Marzelline) in Bozar, at the Barbican Center, at the Seine musicale, she also sang Die Schöpfung (Gabriel and Eve) with the Orchestre national de Lorraine conducted by Diego Fasolis, Beethoven Missa solemnis at the Opéra de Rouen, Beethoven Symphony No. 9 in Paris, Amiens and Geneva, Ariane et Bacchus by Marin Marais and Médée by Charpentier with Le Concert Spirituel at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Dvorak Requiem in Limoges, Mahler Symphony No. 4 and Strauss Vier letzte Lieder in Nancy, La Damoiselle élue by Debussy and La Naissance de Vénus by Fauré with the Brussels Philharmonic, Mozart Requiem with the Orchestre National de Metz…

Hélène Carpentier has recorded several CDs : Les Fêtes grecques et romaines by Colin de Blamont for Château de Versailles Spectacles, Médée by Charpentier and Ariane et Bacchus by Marin Marais released by Alpha Classics, Werther for the Palazzetto Bru-Zane.

Among her projects this season: Dialogues des Carmélites (Blanche de la Force) at the Opéra de Rouen Normandie, Les Pêcheurs de perles (Leila) at the Opéra de Dijon… and in concert, L’Ancêtre by Saint-Saëns with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Persée by Lully with Le Concert Spirituel at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées…
