Vannina Santoni

Soprano Vannina Santoni started her career by singing the part of Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in Italy, and at the Opéra Royal de Versailles. Since then, Vannina Santoni performed major parts including : Mimi (La Bohème) at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) at the Opéra de Lille, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (CD with Les Siècles), La Comtesse Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and at the Opéra National du Rhin, Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) at the Opéra de Paris, at the Opernhaus Zürich, at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, at the Grand Théâtre de Tours, Blanche de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites) at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Liu (Turandot) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Donna Anna and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at the Oper Köln, the Opéra Royal de Versailles and the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opéra de Paris, Juliette (Roméo et Juliette, Gounod) at La Scala in Milan and at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Violetta Valery (La Traviata) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) at the Opéra de Lausanne, Manon at the Opéra de Monte Carlo, at the Staatsoper Hamburg, Nanetta (Falstaff) at the Opéra de Monte Carlo, Micaëla (Carmen) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Baalbeck Festival, Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles) at the Opéra National de Lorraine, Adina (L’Elisir d’amore) at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Suor Angelica and Lauretta (Trittico) at the Grand Théâtre de Tours, Iphigénie (Iphigénie en Tauride) at the Opéra orchestre de Montpellier, Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Adele (Die Fledermaus) at the Grand Théâtre de Tours…

She created the part of Patricia Baer in Les Pigeons d’argile, a world creation by Philippe Hurel, at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse (DVD) as well as the part of Dona Musica in the creation of Le Soulier de Satin by Marc-André Dalbavie at the Opéra de Paris. Vannina Santoni also performed in some rediscovered operas, such as Mârouf, savetier du Caire by Raibaud (Princesse Saamcheddin) at the Opéra Comique and the Opéra National de Bordeaux, La Nonne Sanglante by Gounod (d’Agnès) at the Opéra Comique (released in DVD) and Grisélidis by Massenet (title part) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Opéra orchestre de Montpellier (CD released by Bru Zane Label).

She recently interpreted Le Poème de l’amour et de la mer by Ernest Chausson with the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France conducted by Mikko Franck, Marguerite (Faust) in the new production by Denis Podalydès conducted by Louis Langrée at the Opéra de Lille and at the Opéra Comique.

Her first solo album « Par Amour » was released this year by Alpha Classics.

Among her projects this season, let us mention Faust (Marguerite) at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, at the Opéra de Tours and at the Opéra royal de Versailles, Roméo et Juliette (Juliette) at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Jeanne au bûcher with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France…
