Céleste Pinel

Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the classes of Frédéric Gindraux, Morgane Fauchois, and Mary Olivon, the young French mezzo-soprano Céleste Pinel is a 2023 laureate of the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg.

She made her stage debut in the role of L'Enfant (L'Enfant et les sortilèges) at the Castel Artès Festival in Mirepoix and then performed in La Veuve joyeuse and Suor Angelica as part of the Département Supérieur pour Jeunes Chanteurs et the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris.

She recently performed at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence in the roles of Gavroche and L'Apprentie in Louise by Charpentier, roles she will soon reprise at the Opéra National de Lyon. She also performed Mendelssohn's Elias at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Her future projects include Sméraldine (L'Amour des trois oranges) at the Opéra National de Lyon, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Opéra National du Rhin in a new production by Laurent Pelly.
